Across the pond
I’m Tony…I was born across the pond in London 1934. I spent my childhood watching German bombers and English Spitfires fighting over our house or dashing in fear to an air raid shelter.
Often, my friends and I would collect shrapnel from the bombs and shells that had been intended for us.
Instead of playing innocent games we watched men in the sky trying to kill each other and others trying to kill us. As the war ended and I grew older I developed an interest in photography and eventually made it my career. I met my wife Frances in 1962 and we were married in 1963. We traveled to Toronto, Canada and spent a year there before moving to Hollywood. We had 2 wonderful daughters, I worked until I was 80 and we’re all proud American citizens. How lucky can you get? – Grateful Tony
